Estimate terms. This estimate is valid for fourteen (14) days from the date issued. Parts prices are subject to change until parts are paid for and ordered. This estimate is based on visible damage at the time of inspection. Additional damage discovered during repair will be handled as outlined in Section 5.
Consumer’s rights (T.C.A. § 66-19-104). Before any repair work exceeding $250 begins, the customer has the right to:
Mechanic’s lien (T.C.A. § 66-19-103). LVD Refinish holds a lien on the vehicle for all unpaid repair and storage charges. The vehicle will not be released until payment is made in full. If charges remain unpaid thirty (30) days after completion, LVD Refinish will send written notice to the owner and any lienholders, including an itemized statement of the balance due. If the balance is not paid within the time allowed after notice, the vehicle may be sold to recover the outstanding balance, as permitted by Tennessee law. Any sale proceeds exceeding the balance owed will be handled as required by law.
Vehicle pickup & storage. The customer will be notified when repairs are complete. The vehicle must be picked up within seven (7) business days of completion notice. A storage fee of $25 per calendar day, including weekends and holidays, will be charged beginning the day after this pickup period ends, unless other arrangements are made in writing. All storage fees must be paid in full before the vehicle is released. Vehicles left more than thirty (30) days after completion notice may be treated as abandoned and handled as permitted by Tennessee law.
1. Paint matching. LVD Refinish does not operate an in-house paint mixing system. Colors are sourced from an outside paint supplier using the vehicle’s factory paint code and, when necessary, a computerized color scan of a panel or component removed from the vehicle. Spray-out test cards are used to evaluate color before application. While every effort is made to achieve the closest possible match, an exact match cannot be guaranteed. Variations in factory finishes, paint age, sun exposure, fading, prior repairs, and the limitations of supplier-mixed formulas may cause the new paint to differ in shade from the original finish. Metallic, pearl, and tri-coat colors are especially prone to variation, and some colors may not match closely even after scanning and blending. Blending into adjacent panels is recommended to minimize visible differences, but does not guarantee an exact match. The customer acknowledges these limitations, and LVD Refinish shall not be held liable for color variance of any degree when the color has been sourced and applied using the methods described above. If blending is declined, LVD Refinish is not responsible for color variance. Color variance is not considered a defect under the Limited Warranty, and any request to repaint due to color variance after completion will be billed as additional work.
2. Parts, deposits & payments. Parts must be paid in full before they are ordered. Parts payments are separate from the labor deposit and do not count toward it. A 75% deposit on the remaining balance (labor, materials, and tax) is due at drop-off, before work begins. Approved supplements require the same 75% deposit before that work starts. If the job is stopped or cannot be completed, the customer is charged for labor completed, materials used, and any parts return or restocking fees. If the deposit is more than those charges, the difference is refunded. If the charges are more than the deposit, the customer pays the difference before the vehicle is released. Parts that cannot be returned will be released to the customer. The remaining balance is due in full before the vehicle is released. Teardown and inspection fees are non-refundable.
3. One-time courtesy discount. A one-time courtesy discount of up to twenty-five percent (25%) may be offered at LVD Refinish’s discretion. The discount applies to labor only and does not apply to parts, materials, or tax. It is offered once per client, is non-transferable, and cannot be combined with insurance claims or applied to supplements, additional work, or future repairs.
4. Insurance & supplements. The customer authorizes their insurance company to issue payment directly to LVD Refinish. The customer remains responsible for their deductible and for any amount not paid by the insurance company, including betterment, depreciation, or denied charges.
5. Hidden damage & additional repairs. Hidden or additional damage is often discovered only after disassembly. This applies to both customer-pay and insurance repairs. Any such damage will be documented with photos and reported before further work begins. For customer-pay repairs, additional work requires the customer’s approval, given in writing or by text message, and a 75% deposit on the additional amount as outlined in Section 2. For insurance repairs, a supplement will be submitted to the insurance company for approval. Work on the affected area will be paused until approval is received. If repairs are delayed more than three (3) business days awaiting approval, a storage fee of $25 per calendar day will apply until approval is received. Declining recommended repairs may result in visible flaws, misalignment, or a voided warranty for the affected areas.
6. Parts, hardware & interior components. LVD Refinish is not liable for the fitment, quality, or performance of customer-supplied, aftermarket, or used parts. Only OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts are considered factory-correct. Incorrect, incomplete, or damaged customer-supplied parts may delay repairs or result in additional charges. One-time-use clips, fasteners, trim, and hardware that break or deform during removal, as well as brittle, aged, dry-rotted, or previously modified interior and exterior components, must be replaced at the customer’s expense. If repairs are delayed more than three (3) business days due to the customer’s failure to supply parts or hardware, approve replacement parts, or pay for parts, a storage fee of $25 per calendar day will apply until the delay is resolved.
7. Custom fabrication & technical risks. All custom work, including but not limited to widebody kits, overfenders, body kits, molded bodywork, panel modifications, and one-off builds, is subject to chassis flex and structural movement. LVD Refinish is not responsible for stress cracks, body line distortion, or finish mapping caused by structural movement after completion. Custom work of any kind may permanently alter panel shapes, body lines, and mounting points. As a result, certain factory components, including but not limited to window trim and belt moldings, chrome trim, weatherstripping, emblems, mirrors, door handles, and lighting, may not fit or reinstall as originally designed and may require trimming, modification, relocation, or omission. LVD Refinish is not liable for factory or aftermarket components that cannot be reinstalled, or that fit differently, as a result of approved custom work. Custom work may also affect future repairs, parts compatibility, and vehicle resale value. Welding may cause heat distortion, burn-through, or damage to surrounding coatings, wiring, and components, and LVD Refinish is not liable for these effects. The customer must disclose any sensitive electronics, wiring, or materials near the repair area before welding begins.
8. Fitment & alignment. LVD Refinish is not responsible for panel gaps, misalignment, or poor fitment caused by prior accidents, previous repairs, bent or compromised structure, or uncorrected body distortion. Even OEM parts may not align properly if the underlying structure is compromised. Aftermarket and replacement parts may also vary in fit compared to factory components. Declining recommended structural or alignment repairs may affect final appearance and function and will void warranty coverage for the related areas.
9. Limited warranty. LVD Refinish warrants all refinish work against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of six (6) months from the date of vehicle release. Covered defects include delamination, peeling, cracking, loss of adhesion, and premature fading. This warranty does not extend to damage arising from owner use, environmental conditions, or external causes, including but not limited to environmental fallout (industrial fallout, bird droppings, tree sap, acid rain), chemical exposure or abrasive cleaning agents, stone chips, abrasions, collision damage, or road hazards, improper washing, waxing, polishing, or detailing, customer-supplied or aftermarket (non-OEM) components, pre-existing bodywork or previously applied coatings of unknown origin, and recommended repairs declined by the customer, including structural or alignment corrections. Areas where prior repairs remain beneath LVD Refinish’s work are excluded from coverage. This warranty shall be void if the repaired area is altered or repaired by any party other than LVD Refinish, or if waxes, sealants, or ceramic coatings are applied prior to the completion of the ninety (90) day paint cure period. All warranty claims are subject to inspection by LVD Refinish prior to any corrective work. In no event shall LVD Refinish’s liability exceed the total amount of the final invoice.
10. Cancellation, reassembly & replaced parts. If repairs are canceled after teardown, the customer will be charged for labor performed, and reassembly charges will apply. Reassembly to the vehicle’s original condition is guaranteed only if the full repair is completed at LVD Refinish. Parts removed from the vehicle may not be reusable once disassembled. All replaced parts will be discarded unless the customer requests their return in writing before work begins. Disposal of large or hazardous items may incur additional fees.
11. Limitation of liability. LVD Refinish is not responsible for pre-existing damage, hidden mechanical issues, or electrical faults not related to the repair performed. Customers must remove all personal belongings and valuables before drop-off, and LVD Refinish is not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items. LVD Refinish is not responsible for incidental or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of vehicle use, rental costs, lost wages, or downtime. In no event shall LVD Refinish’s total liability exceed the amount of the final invoice.
12. Disputes. Any unresolved dispute will be handled in the courts of Davidson County, Tennessee.
13. Applicable terms. The Terms & Conditions in effect on the date of the customer’s signed estimate or invoice govern the repair. LVD Refinish may update these terms for future estimates and repairs. Changes will not apply to work already authorized unless agreed to by the customer in writing. If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
Customer authorization (estimate). By signing this estimate, providing payment, or dropping off the vehicle, the customer authorizes LVD Refinish to perform the work described and confirms they have read, understood, and accept these Terms & Conditions.

All payments received have been applied as outlined in Section 2. The remaining balance shown is due in full before the vehicle is released. The Limited Warranty in Section 9 begins on the vehicle release date shown on this invoice.
Consumer’s rights, mechanic’s lien, vehicle pickup & storage, and Sections 1–13 above apply to invoices as well.
